Marco's Story

Marco Pierre WhiteMarco Pierre White began his training at the Hotel St George in Harrogate and later at the Box Tree in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Arriving in London as a 16 year old, he began his classical training under the Roux brothers at Le Gavroche.

At the early age of 24, Marco became the head chef and joint owner of Harveys, with a kitchen staff that included Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal. At just 33 he became the first British and youngest ever chef to be awarded 3 Michelin Stars.

Now retired from the professional kitchen, Marco can be seen as the resident Head Chef in ITV’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and has also appeared in numerous other TV shows. He is a great lover of the outdoors, where he makes great use of the Marco Pierre White grill and barbecue range.
